Food on the table
The workman is worthy of this meat.
(Matthew 10:10) Some workmen are
however not paid enough. (James
5:1-6) If you are guilty of underpaying you will not reap what you
should. (Malachi 3:8-11) On the other
hand you also get the “so-called preachers” (2 Peter
2:1 and 2 Timothy 4:3) who is misleading the church. They call themselves preachers, pastors, reverends, evangelists
etc. but Gods people are not growing in their presence. They bring the letter and with it now
spiritual growth. (2 Corinthians 3:6)
If you are in such a situation the vultures are taking from you because you are
spiritual dead. You have no life of
God. You are sitting in their sermons
year after year and there is no growth.
Even your friends that visit you after many years say. My friend you are the same old John. What a curse! He should long ago has noticed the difference! He should long ago has left you for other
friends that fall in with his wrong lifestyle (Luke 6:26)
When your fellowship with God is correct He is your head and He will
also correct your tithing. You will
then also be in a situation where you are served with the living Word that
creates spiritual growth in you. They will keep them busy with praying and
preaching the Word and not the tables. (Acts 6:1-7) Here your tenth
will be used to help them eat and for those in need. You will then no longer be part of the Pharisees that devour the
widows’s houses. Because they need
shiny, new motorcars, good looking houses, church buildings etc. After these
luxuries have been deducted there is nothing left for those in need. (Acts 2:37 – 47) Your tenth will then be
used for food and clothes. (1 Timothy
6:6-9) Just ask the Pharisees what
percentage of your church is going to those in need of food and clothes and you
will know what percentage of your money is going where it should be going.
On the one hand you may be very grateful of what God is doing in you life
through revelation that God gave you after reading these pages. Or you are not very grateful - it didn’t
mean much to you. You just act
accordingly. (2 Corinthians
9:6—11) I don’t want to be a thief and
take from somebody when he in fact got nothing from me. So if there is no growth through my service
in your life I am entitled to nothing from you. Only the workman is entitled to meat. (Luke 8:3, 2 Timothy 2 and 1 Corinthians 9:1—14). But I am sure that you also don’t want to be
a thief and get spiritual growth from these pages and you go from here and pay
somebody else. You don’t pack your
trolley at the OK and go and pay Shoprite – do you?
