Fathers

 

Paul said that he was a father for the Corinthians.  (1 Corinthians 4:15) We are also fathers.  (1 John1:13) We have our own children after the flesh.  That is in the fisical world.  God created the world that way.  It declares to us also the way the spiritual world works.  When we are spriritually mature we also get spiritual children from God.  (Luke 14:26, Matthew 12:46 – 50, Isaiah 60:4 and Luke 18:29 and 30)  These spiritual children are our true children.  We can be separated from our fleshly children but never from our spiritual children.  If you are born from above and they not then there will be a separation between you and them.  You will love them but they will have no love for you and will just use you for their own benefit as they are dictated by their selfish spirit.  (Luke 14:26, Jeremiah 9:4 and Jeremiah 12:6)  In such a relationship is no fulfillment!  It is one-sided.  That was also the way God had to life for years.  We didn’t love Him.  Only He was Love and we were selfish – we used Him for our own selfishness.  He always longed that we will start loving Him as He is loving us.  (1 John 4:7 and 8 and Mark 12:30) We were never taught these truths in our church traditions.  The preaching to which we listened wasn’t from spiritual fathers but came from spiritual children.  Nobody can grow above his teacher.  (Luke 6:40)

 

This week I had a conversation with my daughter, Vasti.  (She is now about 14 years old) She was with the matron of “Die Herberg Kinderhuis”.  “Vasti, the previous times we met in town you didn’t greet me when I greeted you.  Do you want me to greet you today or not?  You know more than most others what is happening.  You know that I am going through all this for your and other children’s sake.  (Psalm 82) Do you still remember how mother spoke to you as if you were a dog?  Mom once said that you (at that time about 9 years old) have to get out of the motor and walk back to Robertson from Bonnievale (about 30 km away) at seven o’clock at night.  Another time she yelled at you that you are not her child anymore and should go and look for another home.   I said to her that her behavior was wrong.  She didn’t listen.   Then I spoke in front of witnesses.  Mother then chased me away.  I also went to the churches because they were the ones that taught Mom her ways.  They also chased me away.  Mrs. Matthyser here also knows about all this.  Now they say that there is a devil in me and I am mad because they cannot afford to say that I am right.  But I know that you fell before this general spirit in town.  I forgive you.  I could see then that Peter’s spirit of repentance was gripping her.  (Matthew 26:75)  These words were repeated in a letter I wrote to my children a while ago.  

 

Dear Vasti and Olivia

 

Thank you for your letters.  I still love you very much.  You know that and the Holy Spirit is also witnessing the same in your hearts.  I know that you do not believe that it is from God to chase me away.  You have the Holy Spirit and He teaches you that it is husks that the pigs eat!

 

Forgive mother for chasing father away.  She just followed the example of the churches.  The don’t yet know the Holy Spirit as you know Him.  Therefore they cannot see like you what is right and what is wrong.  Do you still remember how mother took you with force away from me, Olivia?  We that have the Holy Spirit must go on forgiving.  I also ask mother always when I see her when can we be together again?  I cannot force my presence on her.  She has to give her permission again.  That day she will also know that the court order of “Die Herberg” is wrong.  Do you still remember how I told the “mothers” in “Die Herberg” that they were wrong in their way of hurting the children?  Because I did it they couldn’t be in my presence without feeling guilty and had to chase me away.  Then I was sitting outside on the sidewalk, where people heard what happened.  Mr. Enslin couldn’t allow that to happen and he also got a court order against me.  I forgive them.  You should also. 

 

We are suffering now for the sake of Robertson.  Their eyes have to open.  Then al of us will have a good life.  Al the other households are not happy even though they are still together.  They also cannot forgive one another.  They are just the same as mother and the other people in “Die Herberg”.  They are also hurting one another with their words and hand.  Poor people! 

 

I also talked to rev. Almo about these things.  He is also in the dark.  To speak the truth all these ways of the people came from him.  He taught them their ways of disciplining.  We have to forgive him also for his ignorance.  He might also learn some day from the Holy Spirit and stop walking in the tradition.  We are now walking the second mile with everybody.  Jesus will himself open their eyes at the right time.

Somebody once accused me of being in the wrong in not giving my children money, cards, etc.  I told the person that I give much more than that namely myself.  I then explained to him what I wrote above to my children and said that it is also the way in which God loves us.  He doesn’t give us money etc. but mostly He gives Himself.  He gave Himself to the point of dying for people (us) that hated him.  If you understand His love why do you want money from Him?  I could see that the person didn’t understand but it stopped him arguing because he felt in the spirit that here was an argument that he cannot overthrow.  (Lukas 18:34) Only the Spirit can reveal these things to man.  He is also using my words and my example.  (Colossians 1:24 and 1 Corinthians 4:19 and 20) The pastors are examples for Gods sheep. (1 Peter 5:3) The example and the Word are necessary for the people’s eyes to open.  The power that Jesus’ words have on the people was because of the life that He lived that was the exact example of the words that He preached!  He was the example of the godly life that he witnessed about.
